The beginning
Our history begins in Lucerne, Switzerland, where our founders, Stefan Muff and Dr. Uli Sigg, built Axon Group to offer solutions for the challenges of digital transformation. Having come across many business owners who struggled to innovate and implement new technology in their business, Stefan and Dr. Uli pursued a solution to address their customer's concerns.
2008
Foundation in Ho Chi Minh City
The vision of delivering flexible and affordable software development services became the foundation of Axon Active. In 2008, our first software engineering teams began operations, and by early 2009, we officially opened our office in Ho Chi Minh City.
2011
Expansion to Central Vietnam
We made our first move northward, opening an office in the beautiful coastal city of Da Nang. This location quickly became one of the most desirable workplaces in the region, providing opportunities for thousands of talented software engineers across the central provinces.
2012
Scrum Breakfast
The Scrum Breakfast event was started in 2012. It has become the most well-known monthly Scrum event where people with the same interest in Agile software development would sit down and enjoy their free breakfast while discussing and exchanging everything about Scrum and Agile.
2015
DevDay Da Nang
In early 2015, our dream of a big playground where IT students and developers can engage with experts in the field came true with DevDay Da Nang. Our first event attracted over 800 students, IT staff, and 24 speakers from local and overseas businesses. What we did triggered other IT companies to join hands in growing this potential playground and becoming. Today, DevDay Da Nang annually welcomes over 3,000 attendees, making one of Vietnam's biggest IT events.
2015
Global Debut in San Francisco
In late 2015, our San Francisco office was opened to American corporations, allowing them to find more affordable and suitable software development services outside of Silicon Valley.
2017
Expansion to Can Tho
Axon Active extended to Can Tho city, only a 3-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City, and with an international airport at the heart of the Mekong Delta
2019
Modernizing Our Headquarters
Doubled the size of our Ho Chi Minh City headquarters with a modern workplace design, marking a major milestone in our growth.
2022
Service expansion in Switzerland & New Office in Thu Duc City
Since 2022, we have been providing Swiss customers with local services from our Luzern headquarters, complementing our Vietnam-based development services with expert consulting. At the same time, a brand-new office in Thu Duc City gives us access to a broader talent pool.
